Earlier today I was pointed to an interesting You Tube video. After watching it, I was curious so I scanned to find others like it. I’ll offer you two versions of the message, both from YouTube. For the best effect, watch the first one below first and then watch the second. You might get ideas for your next presentation by comparing these two. Notice the differences. Notice how the different music affects you differently. And compare the differences of still photos vs. motion.

Dale Hansen and Pete Delkus – Channel 8 Dallas

On Dallas Channel 8 (WFAA) Pete Delkus (on the left) is the weatherman and Dale Hansen (on the right) is the Sports guy. These are the new promotional ads they are running using the “look” of Boston Legal. Dale has a long “reputation” in the area as a “bit” of a maverick. If you don’t know Dale this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8rZmPENqU4) and also this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8rZmPENqU4) might give you a bit of a look into the style some of us love so much. Just in case you hadn’t figured it out, even though I am not a big sports nut, I like Dale Hansen.

Slate magazine has unusual articles. This one, http://www.slate.com/id/2203103, discusses a new video ad by HSBC bank. Watch the video before reading the article. Then you tell me. Is this one of the most unusual bank ads you’ve ever seen? What do you think it means?

Do Schools Kill Creativity?

I’m rarely short on opinions.

One of my opinions is that the law “No Child Left Behind” is really about “No Child Gets Ahead”.

For me, the law seeks to repeal with the brush of a pen the fact of the bell curve.

That said, I truly like this presentation.
