I recently discovered the nature photographer Art Wolfe. He has a show called Travels to the Edge and posts small sections to YouTube. I found him through this short video which made me laugh out loud.
For more of his videos on YouTube just click here.

Are you tired of being broke? Are you tired of email spam asking if you are tired of being broke? Are you tired of everyone trying to make money by trying to sell you a way to make money?

A while back, a group called the Richter Scales created a video called Here Comes Another Bubble. It is a clever parody song using the music from We Didn’t Start the fire.
However, it was quickly taken down because of a DMCA request claiming copyright violation.
Now, the Richter Scales have responded. They have posted V1.1 of the video back onto YouTube and provided full credit to all the images both in the video itself and also on a credits page on their site: richterscales.com/bubble_credits.

It was put up on YouTube. It was quickly taken down by a DMCA request claiming copyright violation. But you can still see it here. At least you can as I write this.
Separate from the DMCA question, I think it is a good parody.
A recent edition of Roy William’s Monday Morning Memo discusses the ads for the Mac. You know the one. It features the Mac and the PC in a conversation.
It was cute. I liked it. But I noted that the Farrah Fawcett poster used was not theFarrah Fawcett poster … the one that sold a still unrivled 12 million copies!
That got me thinking. I wondered, have others done this. So I checked and they have.
I liked this one because the images are actual screens from the ebay site. They appear to be camera shots instead of screen captures and they aren’t great shots, but I still like it.
By the way … the Yankovic’s “ebay” was actually performed live at eBay Live! 2003. There is no “official” video of that event, but a poor quality video from the audience is here:
