As I’m prepping for my Virtual Live event tonight, I’d love to know the last time you made a big decision that was uncomfortable to make? ••• Not left you “feeling” uncomfortable much like this toilet seat with a toddler lid I saw in a bar downtown last night, but rather “pushed you outside of yourself into something bigger” kind of uncomfortable. How often or how many times in your life would you say these types of decisions have been made? How many times have you not made them because of the discomfort? ••• I’m also not talking about hard decisions, because discomfort and hard aren’t always necessarily paired. For me, hard decisions can be easier than ones that force me to stretch, grow and change myself. I’m learning the difference in acting from a place of discomfort while operating in peace and acting from a place of feeling uncomfortable because God is saying “No”. Comfort and peace. Uneasy and stirred. These words are synonyms and yet so very different in how we operate and communicate with Holy Spirit. I’m studying them. Dissecting them. Finding the balance in being motivate or warned by them. ••• How does this toddler toilet seat in a bar make you feel?
