💨 Vaping vs. Smoking 🔥 The product that eventually became known as the THC vape pen was first produced as an electronic cigarette to help tobacco smokers quit. It wasn’t long, though, before canny cannabis consumers recognized that these little devices could be used with marijuana as well. And when they started modifying their electronic cigarettes to handle THC liquid, wax, and bud, they saw that the process of vaporizing was a great addition to the process of smoking joints or blunts. Vaporizing is better than smoking because vaporizing reduces the temperature at which cannabinoids change from solid or liquid into gas. This reduction in temperature preserves many of the active ingredients in marijuana—the stuff that gets you high and makes you feel good—that would otherwise have been destroyed when the cannabis was burned. Think of it this way: a flame is pretty much only one temperature. It’s hot enough to burn your bud and turn it into smoke, which, for marijuana occurs at around 450℉. But—and here’s the kicker—cannabinoids can be changed into a gas at much lower temperatures (around 284℉). All that extra heat is just destroying a large portion of the cannabinoids you’re trying to get into your system. That’s where the THC vape pens come in. They operate at much lower temperatures than your common, everyday flame. Rather than producing smoke (through burning), they produce vapor (through vaporization). As a result, you get more “bang for your buck” — or perhaps “cannabinoids for your cash” — because the THC, CBD, CBG, CBN, and others don’t get burned away. And this occurs in a sleek and indiscreet package that doesn’t require bulky bongs or a plethora of extra tools. I had great feedback on the cannabis review I did on my first legal purchase at @livingskiescannabis last week. I have lots more reviews to do, But first I want to address something; I have been really put off by the negativity that came from the “cannabis community” . The “prohibition 2.0” crowd. Come on guys, grow up. Always so quick to complain and point fingers.I also feel that I could have wrote my review just as honestly but worded it differently . Store was clean ✔️ . Weed is lab tested for mould, aflatoxins, heavy metals ✔️ . cannabinoids tested and clearly labelled✔️ - dominant terpenes labelled✔️ - products are made in a GPP approved facility✔️ - whole plant, cannabis derived CBD oil is available ✔️ - CBD flower available✔️ - 1:1 flower available✔️ - Weed potency 4/5 ✔️(a .5 gram pre roll got me as high as 1g joint of the no till stuff I have right now) - Medicinal effect 4/5✔️ I was smoking this just for the hell of it but it ended up really giving me pain relief from some gym injuries I have going on - Flavor 1/4 ✖️Tasted bad - Smell 1/4 ✖️None - It was a little expensive , flavourless, and was a chore to smoke, but was potent weed. Maybe this strain consumed in a vaporizer would be better, or as a fresh bug broken up and smoked in a bowl. Most processors don’t understand that monoterpenes oxidize easily, and for a pre-roll to have any chance of holding its flavour it needs to be high in sesquiterpenes. Strain selection for pre rolls really matters. All in all I had a great experience, I just look forward to trying other strains. If you are just looking for a strong effect and don’t really care about the flavour, this one would do just fine. I’m just so tired of the Debbie downer attitude from people. That narrative needs to change. There was tons of positive here, huge progress on a lot of fronts. it’s just what you focus on. I just want to remain honest and objective.
