Apparently today is Love Your Pet Day. So we thought we would share a few photos of our motley gang. To start with we have ‘Princess’ Daisy, that’s a self crowed title 😂 she was our first dog together as a couple and has always been a little angel. She is the white and tan. And then we have the spotty one that’s also known as Dottie. Well actually she is known by lots of names...some not so polite 🙈 she isn’t always an angel!! And then we have our two tabby cats, the old guy with the white face is Tim, I have had him for longer than I’ve had the husband 😂 and the not so little anymore Bazil was a gift for said husband who wanted a ‘cuddly’ cat. Well Baz weighs more than Daisy and LOVES cuddling. He also has a habit of sitting on your lap and putting him bum in your face 🤦‍♂️ and then there’s the big ginger girly who is Josie. She has had a rather eventful time since moving here but despite that has settled really well and looks much better than her 19 years. On the other end of the age line is the baby pony, Cookie. She came to us from the RSPCA almost a year ago and will begin her education to be a grown up ridden pony this month 😍 and then, last but not least, are the Tatties. What do you see when you look at this picture? A tunnel? A staircase? Or just a pretty funky pattern? If you DIDN'T see one of those things at first glance, now I've mentioned it can you see it now?

Whatever you see, you can guarantee there will be someone who sees a totally different picture to you. That's the beauty of our own perspective. But with a little guidance, we can also change our perspective to something totally new. And once we see it, we wonder how we never saw it the first time around!

The way we perceive ourselves, the way we process the events that happen to us day in day out, even how we view the wider world, are all a matter of perspective. Even if it currently feels like our view is so 'accurate' that it can't be changed, that doesn't mean it can't be. We just need to be shown the new perspective by someone who already sees it ;) .

I know people often say with social media “don’t read the comments”.. but I just have to say how blown away I am by the amount of people that have engaged with the things I have been sharing over my social media channels. I have had so many likes, comments, private messages from people supporting me.. some that know me personally, others that do not but can relate to my experiences.

I really do appreciate it and will continue to keep going.

I’m not a person that would ever let something like this define me as a person. I am so many things outside of this.. I am a father, a friend, a son, a brother, a working man... (among many other things!) Illnesses do not (and should not) define you, so please do not think otherwise. But if I can share some of my experiences, lessons learned and inspire someone to put on a pair of trainers or talk more openly about taboo subjects then I have set out what I wanted to achieve with my pages.
