Hey IG fam! I know I haven’t been consistent on here, my apologies! I’m in the graduate program for mental health counseling and for the past couple of weeks I’ve been writing papers, going to my internship, working full time and taking final exams😩. Busy busy busy. . I am done with this semester for good and I’m officially on fall break. I’m ready for some well deserved ME-TIME! . In my me-time, I plan to catch up on sleep, writing, watching my favorite Christmas movies, visiting the nail salon and just relaxing! . Everyone deserves designated me-time every now and then. And it’s not being selfish at all! Me-time is a part of self care and taking care of yourself so that you can be available to reach your goals and help others along the way. That’s the whole point of it all right?! . . Are any of you in school? Whether it’s high school, college or graduate, you should be finishing up on finals for the holiday break so you should start thinking of some designated me-time while you’re on break. I know I am! . Today's Workout: Shoulders This year, we we're lucky enough to spend the day with some really great friends. And even though I didn't get a picture of my kids, or Alex, or all 4 of us for that matter, I managed to snag this one. Thought for today: Close your eyes, place your hand on your heart, take a deep breath, and just be. Every now and then, take a break and just feel yourself being alive. It's pretty cool when you can shut off the world and just smile because you are still breathing. Today's Workout: Back and Biceps Yesterday's Workout: Chest and Triceps This is me realizing that the single gray hair I thought I found about a month or two ago on the top of my head, may not have been a single gray hair. I'm not ready for this shit. Make it stop. 😭 And on top of my newfound possible gray hair probs... The kids are home all week on fall break. And the fighting. Never. Stops. 🤦 Thought for today: Fighting through the tough times is how you get tougher.
