昨日の夜歌丸がまた突然パタリと倒れました。この3ヶ月間病気であることを忘れてしまうぐらい本当に元気で楽しい毎日だったから目の前で見ていたパパはショックでパニックになり私は呆然とただ体をなぜてあげることしかできませんでした。歌丸はやっぱり重い病気を持った子なんだなぁって悲しい現実に心底がっかりした夜でした。大きなクリクリの目は光を失って目をショボショボさせながらぼんやりしています。救急で脳圧を下げる注射を打ってもらって家でのんびり過ごさせてやりたくて入院はやめて一旦家に戻りました。歌丸の性格なのか猫がこうなのかとても不思議なのはかまわないでという感じでそばに寄ると離れていって辛いのをひとりで耐えている感じです。名前を呼ぶとシッポを動かすから返事はするんだけど、とにかく今は触れられたくないみたい。私が部屋に入ると喜んで尻尾をスリスリして甘えてくるいつもの様子とはまったく違ってただただ今はじっとなにかに耐えている感じです。かまってちゃんのワンコとの暮らしが長かったのでこの様子が本当に不思議で。悲しいけど猫の生きる姿になんだか惹きこまれてしまう。ひたすら離れた場所から見守り続ける夜でした。 . . . #8ヶ月 #子猫 #水頭症猫 #犬と猫のいる暮らし #猫目ヂカラ王選手権 #exoticshorthair #エキゾチックショートヘア #猫のいる風景 #ねこ好き #エキゾ #myfamilymylife #鼻ぺちゃ #癒し #Yoda #フォトジェニック #我が家 #ぶさかわ猫 #ねこすたぐらむ #photography #photooftheday #catstagram #ふわもこ部 #ig_japan #ねこのきもち #日日是好日 #Hygge #gardener

#tbt to that one time I helped Doug's family split wood and they thought it was the coolest thing ever when really all I did was stand in place and push a lever back in forth then unload some logs off a truck. . Confessedly, there is nothing better than putting in some good hard work. So the pleasure was all mine. . Whether inhaling sawdust on a frigid autumn morning or sitting in front of computer expelling all of your emotional energy into a creative project for your business, there is nothing like knowing that you've given your whole self to the cause, pushing through the boundaries of discomfort to get something done. . Happy Saint Lucy’s Day or Sankta Lucia as we call her in Scandinavia 😇 🕯 I have lots of fond memories of celebrating this poor third century martyr whilst dressed in a white gown, carrying a lit candle through school hallways, singing the atmospheric Lucia song. It’s a lovely tradition so close to the long, dark night of Winter Solstice. Very “hyggelig” as we say in Denmark 🇩🇰🤗 What is also the epitome of Danish “julehygge” (Christmas cosiness) is the calendar or advent candle. It’s usually at the centre of a more elaborate decoration than my impro expat contraption 🙈 You may (or may not) be able to make out the numbers on the front, but this is a fun way of counting down the days till Christmas Eve. I’ve really been enjoying the pace of the season right now, and how slow and gentle it has been. We’ve avoided the chaos and craziness and have just been at home enjoying each other, as well as the darkening and shorter days. We’re doing our advent activities every day, and snuggling up to fires, movies, and crafts. It’s all feeling very magical and peaceful. I really do wish it would never end. The spirit that emerges this time of year is unmistakably beautiful. Lights twinkle more, fires glow brighter, the weight of the world lifts and for a while the world feels right, like it’s meant to be. Full of magic and wonder ✨ ———————————————————————-Isn’t this deer so sweet?? If you’ve been catching my stories, you’ll know we’ve been working on some decorations for our tree and this little doe is one of them. I want to make a million of them and hang them everywhere!! These are from a pattern kit made by @aliciapaulson who has the most beautiful cozy blog, Posie Gets Cozy, where she sells the patterns for these and several other ones.
