It’s moving day!! Golden, here we come!
4:30am wake up call for an 18 mile run with ma best fran. Life is good ☺️
We’re a week out. And it’s all finally starting to hit me... thinking about all of the beautiful trails I’ll miss running here in Springs, and all of the friends I’ll miss spending time with. I know Golden is only an hour and a half away, but this place has been HOME for over 3 years and I absolutely LOVE it. That being said, Joel and I are super stoked for our next chapter in Golden! If any of you guys have any trail suggestions near Golden, or yummy restaurants with options for plant eaters, or are looking for a new fran! 🙋🏻♀️ lmk!
I didn’t go outside at all today. BUT tomorrow Joel and I will get in a nice solid 12 miles of trail. Today we pack and organize. 😑 Tomorrow we frolic in the mountains... then pack and organize some more. 🙃
Oh hey 👋🏽 Happy Friday, everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve made an appearance in my own feed. As you can tell, I’m much more comfortable behind the lens than in front of it.
Moonset behind Pikes. 🌕 I took this photo on Monday morning. Joel and I woke up a little too late to catch the sunrise, but Joel insisted we go for a drive anyway. As we got to the top of Ridge Road, we saw the moon setting behind the north side of Pikes Peak. I yelled for him to stop the car and I scrambled out, wind ripping through my hair as I ran across the road to a spot with a good clearing. I captured this shot right before the moon completely disappeared. Shout out to the best bf on the planet who stops the car without hesitation every time a see an animal, a cloud, or a celestial object that I want to shoot. Thanks for always encouraging me to do the things I love and for putting up with me when I’m being pouty because we missed the sunrise. 🙃🙃🙃
“If you think someone is winning and it’s coming out of your pocket YOU SUCK.” - @garyvee Do your thing. Crush your goals. Help others crush theirs. If you’re not lifting others up, you’re not doing it right.
Reminding myself: “It never always gets worse.” -David Horton Wise words from the trail.
The most handsome boys in the world. 😍
Positive self talk is so powerful. Spending quality time with amazing people is so refreshing. Getting outside everyday is magic for the soul. Pre-sleep thoughts on a Monday night. 📷: from last week’s snowy run w/ my favorite human on the planet.
Tomorrow, @colorado_mountain_adventures Rangy and I are doing our long run up to the top of Cottonwood Pass and back down and I am so beyond stoked!
Guys! I get my new camera next week!! I’ve been without a camera since Thanksgiving when it decided to break in the middle of our Utah trip... and I’m pretty sure it’s the longest I’ve gone without having a camera since I got my first camera when I was like... 9 years old. That was 21 years ago!! I haven’t gone this long without a camera in 21 years!! 😆🎉😆🎉😆
When you see a post that starts with... “I’m not one for New Years resolutions...” 🙃 “...2019... yadda yadda... new beginnings... the year of *insert non-resolution resolution here*.” So here’s a picture from one of our adventures last year, because I’m not going to subject you to 365 photos from last year. 😁
People are neat. Got to spend Thanksgiving with my little family of @colorado_mountain_adventures , Rangy, @allfuradventures & her fur baby... early Christmas with my family in Texas & my marketing family at work... and Christmas Christmas with @colorado_mountain_adventures , his brother and future sister in law. The right people make everything even better. 💕
Hidden in plain sight. The most secure place to hide a treasure of gold is in some desolate, unnoticed place. Why would anyone hide treasure in plain sight? And so it is said, “Joy is hidden beneath sorrow.”
My camera is broken and I’m really missing night shooting right now, but I’m cuddled up in bed with my favorite little dingo. The only thing missing is the third member of our pack. @colorado_mountain_adventures we miss you!
The most magical arch I’ve ever ventured to. ✨
You know how when you start to say the same words over and over and it starts to sound weird... and when you look at something for too long and you start to find flaws in everything... I think we do that to ourselves. When we’re focusing solely on ourselves instead of thinking about others and the world around us, things start to fall apart. We get so caught up in, and focused on our own lives that we start to pick everything apart. The more time we take to focus on building others up, the less time we spend focusing on the imaginary problems we tend to create in our own life. So lift others up, and you too will be lifted up in return.
